March is a tumultuous month, and we’re not just talking about the weather. It is town meeting season, and that means lots and lots of letters to the editor. Add to that a busy stretch in the Legislature and a growing national discussion about gun violence, and the space in these pages fills up quickly. We try to run as many letters (250 words or less, please) and columns as possible, and we truly hate saying no to anyone who takes the time to put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard, in hopes that we will share their words with the community. Your contributions give the Forum section its name. So to create some extra space for the letter writers today, we offer just a brief editorial as the flakes fly: Stay warm. Drive safely. Be careful shoveling. Go sledding, but not by accident. Check on your neighbors and help them if you can. Smile through it all, and remind yourself that there are worse places to be than New Hampshire on a snowy day in March.
