Middle school result

The Bow Middle School girls’ soccer team improved its record to 5-1 thanks to a 3-1 win over Pelham. Ellie Pingree, Madison Roberge and Leah Boisvert scored goals. Jess Chamberlin was strong on defense.

The Rundlett Middle School boys’ soccer ‘A’ team fell to Timberlane, 2-1. Rundlett’s record is now 3-1-2. Nick Dibuono scored the lone goal for Rundlett late in the second half. Salvatore Aubin and Garrett Miskoe played solid defense for Rundlett.

The Rundlett Middle School girls’ soccer ‘A’ team defeated Timberlane, 1-0. Juliana Pardo, Chloe Morgan and Jenita Graham all made good plays on the field.

The Rundlett Middle School ‘A’ volleyball team defeated Mountain View in three sets, 25-23, 29-27 and 15-8. The Dukes were strong from the service line with Peyton Trento, Kailey Demers, Ashlyn Clougherty and Elizabeth Blinn each contributing several aces. Ava Harmon, Izabelle Thurston, Clougherty, Blinn and Trento were strong defensively. Grace Macdonald and Katie Martel each had several kills at the net.

Freshmen result

The Concord High freshmen football team beat Manchester Memorial, 42-28. The team is undefeated at 5-0.

Unified result

The Concord High Unified soccer team fell to Keene, 5-3. Drew Nadeau scored all three goals for the Tide and Jack Smith had an assist. Sarah Beaulac played a great game in goal.

College standout

Gilford’s Shanya Tomlinson, a graduate of St. Paul’s School, was named co-captain of the women’s ice hockey team at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The RPI senior scored six goals with 11 assists in 2016-17. The Engineers were 10-24-2 last year and open their season Friday at Ohio State.

Indoor soccer for adults

Adult indoor soccer leagues are being offered at FieldHouse Sports Indoor Sports Facility in Bow. There are leagues for women age 25 and older, men 18 and older and men 30 and older. There are also several coed adult divisions based on skill level. Team and individual registrations are being accepted and all abilities are welcome. The next 12-week session begins the week of Oct. 20-26. Youth leagues (for ages 5-18) begin the week of Oct. 24 to Nov. 4. Soccer clinics

The next five-week session of Little Strikers soccer skills clinics, for ages 3 to 6, begins Oct. 14 at Fieldhouse Sports Indoor Facility in Bow. Clinics meet Saturday mornings. FieldHouse Sports Indoor Sports Facility in Bow is accepting registrations for the next six-week session of soccer skills and goalkeeping clinics, which will begin Nov. 6. Clinics will be directed by Jorge Pardo, Director of Caramba Soccer Camps. Clinics are for ages 6 to 60 for all abilities and meet on Monday afternoons. Field hockey clinic

FieldHouse Sports Indoor Sports Facility in Bow is accepting registrations for its field hockey skills clinics for boys and girls ages 4 to 10. Beginners are encouraged to participate. The next session begins Oct. 19. Clinics meet on Thursday afternoons for five-week sessions and are coached by Tracy Berube, past Bow High varsity field hockey coach. The cost is $65. Seacoast Express United Soccer is looking for boys born from 2003 to 2008 and girls born from 2005 to 2008 to join their teams. Seacoast’s boys’ Pre-Academy and Premier teams are seeking players. Players will participate in a 10-month total player development program with licensed and professional coaches and take part in high level showcase tournaments. Seacoast’s girls’ Premier team is seeking a couple players born in 2005 in addition to its other teams. Officials needed

NH Field Hockey Umpires Association is looking for officials for the upcoming season. The membership services the NHIAA member schools, along with prep and private schools in the state. Tryouts/Registrations

ICB Basketball is now offering signups for boys and girls in the Merrimack Valley school district. Cost for players in grades 3-8 is $45 until Saturday, after that the cost is $65. Seacoast Express United soccer is holding tryouts for their SUSC Emerging Talent Academy (for players born in 2008-2011) and SUSC Player Development (players born in 2004-2007) teams. Players will participate in two 12-week sessions. Session I (October-January) is focused skill development and small-sided play, while Session II (January-April) is focused on more intense training and competitive match play. Tryouts for girls are on Oct. 11 from 5-6 p.m. (2008-2010 birth years) and from 6:15-7:15 p.m. (2006-2007 birth years). Tune-Up Basketball League will be held at Inter-Lakes Elementary School in Meredith for boys and girls in grades 6-10 to prepare for the upcoming season. The league is open to players from area towns. Space is limited so early registration is encouraged. All games will be played at ILES. The 10-game schedule begins Oct. 21 and runs through Nov. 11. Camps/Clinics/Lessons

Seacoast United Cubs Baseball Club will be offering specialized skills classes for players in the Concord area. The 12-week classes begin on Oct. 24 and will be offered from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesdays. It will include classes such as General Skill Development, Gap-to-Gap Hitters’ Clinic, Strike-One Pitchers’ Clinic and Caught Stealing Catchers’ Clinic. Events

Cap City Basketball is hosting clinics on Saturday and Oct. 14 at the Concord Boys & Girls Club. Players in grades 3-5 will go from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and grades 6-9 will go from 12:30-2 p.m. The cost is $30 and includes a Cap City Dri-FIT T-shirt. Payment and registration will only be at the door.

Plymouth State University men’s lacrosse program golf fundraiser will be held on Sunday at Waukewan Golf Club in Center Harbor. The event is open to all Plymouth State faculty, staff, coaches, athletes, alumni, families and friends. Tee-off takes place at 11 a.m. Event will include a round of golf, food, prizes and various raffles.
