Concord Crew

Concord Crew finished the season strong at the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga, N.Y. Concord crews competed in eights, fours, doubles and quad events in the 2,200 boat regatta against many of the toughest competitors from the Northeast U.S. and Canada.

St. Paul’s results

The St. Paul’s varsity field hockey beat Brewster Academy, 3-0. Gillis Frechette (goal, two assists), Brett Stoddard (goal) and Eliza Farriss (goal) led St. Paul’s.

The St. Paul’s varsity boys’ soccer team lost to St. Sebastian’s, 2-1. Gus Hirschfeld scored with an assist from Liam Jordan. Peter Brewster and Brenner Morton played well defensively.

Proctor results

The Proctor Academy girls’ soccer team defeated Tilton, 4-0. Sofia Weber scored a pair of goals and Alaina Robie and Anya Jewell each added one.

Andrew Harrell won the Lakes Region Championship in a course record time of 18:56 helping the boys’ cross country team to second place.

Tilton School results

Maddie Clark finished second overall at the Lakes Region League Championship, leading the Rams girls’ cross country team to second place. Amanda Crowley was ninth.

Brendan Sjostedt took third overall at the Lakes Region League Championship, leading the boys’ cross country team to fourth.

The Tilton field hockey team defeated Brewster, 6-0.

The Tilton School JV boys’ soccer team lost to Cardigan Mountain, 1-0. Drew Frost made eight saves.

Franklin fall sports banquet

The Franklin High School fall sports banquet hosted by the FHS Boosters Club will be on Thursday in the FHS cafeteria. A pot luck meal will be served at 6 p.m. The football, soccer and field hockey teams are responsible for main dishes and the volleyball and cheer teams are responsible for desserts.

Franklin winter tryouts

The Franklin School District will start winter tryouts on the following dates and times: girls’ JV and varsity basketball on Nov. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at FMS Gym, varsity wrestling on Nov. 16 from 2:45-3:30 p.m. at FHS Gym, high school cheerleading on Nov. 17 from 4:30-6 p.m. at FHS Gym, boys’ JV and varsity basketball on Nov. 21 from 6-7:30 p.m. at FMS Gym and varsity indoor track on Nov. 28 from 2:45-4:15 p.m. in the FHS weight room, middle school boys’ basketball on Nov. 16 from 2:45-4:15 p.m. at FMS Gym, middle school girls’ basketball on Nov. 16 from 4:15-5:45 p.m. at FMS Gym and middle school cheerleading on Nov. 21 from 2:45-4:15 p.m. at FMS Gym. Field hockey clinics

FieldHouse Sports Indoor Facility in Bow is accepting registrations for youth field hockey clinics for ages 4-10. Clinics begin Dec. 1 and are led by Bow High Coach Tracey Berube. Indoor soccer clinics

FieldHouse Sports Indoor Facility in Bow is accepting registrations for Jorge Pardo soccer skills clinics which begin Monday. for ages 6-60 and all abilities. Youth hoops tryouts

Derry Spartans winter basketball tryouts will be held on Saturday. Tryouts for boys and girls in grades 3-6 will be from 1-2 p.m. and tryouts for boys and girls in grades 7-8 will be from 2-3 p.m. All tryouts will be at the Sportszone in Derry.

Coaches needed

Coe-Brown Northwood Academy is seeking a girls’ varsity lacrosse coach and indoor track assistant coach for the 2016-17 school year. Interested candidates should send a letter of interest, resume and three references to mskidds@coebrown.org.

Events

Hillsboro-Deering High School fall sports awards will given out on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the HDHS gym. After awards each team will go to its own breakout room. Breakout rooms are as follows: girls’ soccer (gymnasium), boys’ soccer (library), volleyball (cafeteria), cross country (room 102), golf (room 221), bass fishing (gymnasium).

UNH ski program, in conjunction with SkiNH.com and Learfield, is offering a limited number of discount ticket packages for alpine and Nordic ski areas throughout the state for the 2016-17 season. New Hampshire High School Softball Coaches' Association is sponsoring a conference and clinic for any softball coaches and players of all levels on Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. at NHTI. Registration fee for coaches is $50 postmarked by Dec. 19 or $65 at the door. Registration fee for players is $150 postmarked by Dec. 19 or $160 postmarked after Dec. 20. Concord Northeast Baseball & Softball Board of Directors will be holding a meeting on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Arnie’s on Loudon Rd. This meeting is to welcome new board members and vote on positions for next year. Meeting is open to the public.

Concord High School winter sports online registration closes on Tuesday.

USTA team tennis winter leagues are being offered in Concord for 12U, 14U and 18U levels. The Health Club of Concord will be hosting a tennis event on Sunday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Players will participate in match play and get an orientation to team tennis. Cost is $10. Pizza included.
