Wicked FIT 5K at Rollins Park

Concord Wicked FIT 5K

Families in Transition is hosting a 5K run on Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. at Rollins Park. The event will be costume-themed and raise funds to “Chase Away Homelessness,” providing a home and hope to families. The cost to register is $20 for adults 20 and older, $15 for kids 11 to 19, and free for kids under 10. Day-of registration will be $15. To register online, visit fitnh.org/wickedfitrun. Meredith Rotary hosts ‘Casino Night for Charities’

The Meredith Rotary Club will sponsor “Casino Night for Charities” on Oct. 26. Proceeds from this event, being held in the ballroom at Church Landing in Meredith, will support the New Hampshire Humane Society, the Lakes Region Visiting Nurse Association, and other charity groups. A limited number of tickets will be sold. The $50 ticket cost includes casino chips, hot and cold appetizers and entertainment. Participants can purchase additional chips throughout the evening and raffle prizes will be awarded throughout the night. Rotary club members will staff the gaming tables. Everyone will have the opportunity to bid on silent and live auctions featuring three exceptional prizes. Tickets are available to purchase online at meredithrotary.org, while they last. The event will run from 7 to 10 p.m. Come spend a fun evening with the Meredith Rotary Club and help raise money for our local charities.
