Concord VNA remembers loved ones lost

Concord Regional VNA will hold the Lights of Life community remembrance ceremonies to remember loved ones and friends who have died. To honor a loved one or friend and inscribe their name on the Lights of Life Honor Roll, visit crvna.org before Dec. 1. Ceremonies will be held on Nov. 27 at MainStreet BookEnds of Warner at 11 a.m. and Merrimack County Nursing Home at 2 p.m.; Nov. 28 at Pleasant View Retirement in Warner at 2 p.m.; Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. at Presidential Oaks in Concord and 2 p.m. at Smith Memorial Congregational Church in Hillsboro; Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Pembroke Town Library; Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Pittsfield and 6:30 p.m. at Merrimack County Savings Bank. Deerfield Deerfield clinic sponsors 5K

The Deerfield Veterinary Clinic Catamount 5K will run Sunday at 9 a.m. This 5K is challenging enough for seasoned runners, but also perfect for walkers and families. This race promotes health and wellness while benefiting Catamount Womenaid, a nonprofit that provides emergency financial assistance to men, women, and children in Deerfield, Epsom, Northwood, Pittsfield and Strafford. Online registration is $22 for adults and $15 for children under 12 and ends today. The race day registration costs are $30 and $20 for children. Medals will be awarded. Parking is close and easy; turn into the fairgrounds at a main gate at 34 Stage Road. Free refreshments and post-race massages. Volunteers are needed for race day. Canterbury A day for spiritual exploration

This spiritual event will be held Sunday at the Canterbury Shaker Village for anyone wanting to explore spiritual meaning and step outside their comfort zones for one afternoon. Starting at 9:30 a.m., there will be a breakfast open to the public. At 10 a.m., a joint church service will take place. The service will be presented by the CUCC and Church of the Woods in the village. At 11 a.m., participants will be able to choose an activity to take part in, including a nature walk and a discussion about Tolstoy’s Calendar of Wisdom. Lunch at noon.
