NEC revises poll, showing Kuster gained ground with voters

New England College amended a poll released earlier this week, significantly widening Rep. Annie Kuster’s lead over Republican challenger state Rep. Marilinda Garcia.

The college cited computational errors for the original data, which showed Kuster leading Garcia by 1.4 percent in a poll of 702 likely voters in the 2nd Congressional District.

The new data show Kuster holding a 11.1 percent lead.

That lead is wider than the one Kuster held over Garcia in a poll conducted by NEC earlier in September, and makes Kuster the only incumber in the state whose support grew since the first poll.
