Art and Bloom 2024 a beautiful success

Concord Garden Club’s Art and Bloom event at Kimball Jenkins Estate from Jan. 25-27 was a beautiful success, thanks to our designers, volunteers, and sponsors. Visitors enjoyed 25 creative floral interpretations of photographs and other art pieces currently on display at Kimball Jenkins as part of their “Postman and Rockstar” exhibit. Our floral designers are members of the Garden Club and of the greater Concord community, in addition to several local professional designers.

We congratulate the winners of our informal People’s Choice ballot. Lauren Savage of the Concord Garden Club was the overall favorite for her arrangement complementing “Alice’s White Rabbit” from the Kimball Jenkins collection. Community members Stephanie Krenn and Terry Sturke won for their imaginative interpretation of a diptych of pregnant mother and of her newborn by Michelle Phillips. Rick Talbot of Cobblestone Design won among professionals for his design for “Roaring Integer” by WenDell Hoggard.

We would like to thank the Kimball Jenkins Estate, as well as our sponsors, Dennehy and Bouley, LLC, Ruedig Realty, Cobblestone Design, Hermanos Cocina, Kim Benoit of the Masiello Group, Cole Gardens, Susanne Smith-Meyer, Landscape Architect, The Works Café, Gibson’s Bookstore, and Polaris Direct, for making this event possible.
