Franklin Pierce University announced on Wednesday that Hillsboro-Deering’s Bridgette Winters signed her National Letter of Intent to play for the school’s women’s soccer team.

Winters set the H-D school record for goals, by a girl or boy, when she scored her 83rd goal in her final high school game, a 3-1 loss to top-ranked Fall Mountain in the Division III semifinals. Winters led the Hillcats in goals and assists last fall and was named First Team D-III. She was a four-year starter at H-D and was an D-III Honorable Mention pick as a sophomore and a Second Team selection as a junior.

“Ravens women’s soccer continues to put a premium on bringing in high-level individuals, who are not only gifted and proven athletes, but who are also capable of driving the next phase of our storied tradition,” said Jonathan Garbar, the first-year Franklin Pierce coach who will be making his debut, along with Winters and the seven other players who signed on Wednesday, in the fall.
