Granite United Way has six new board members: Joe Carelli, president of Citizens Bank of New Hampshire and Vermont; Paul Falvey, president and CEO of Bank of New Hampshire; Charlie Head, co-founder and CEO of Sanborn Head and Associates; Sally Ann Kraft, vice president of community health at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center; Larry Major, government affairs manager at Pike Industries; and Paul Mertzic, executive director of community health and mission at Catholic Medical Center.

New Hampshire’s Charitable Foundation and the Endowment for Health awarded a $25,000 grant to Southeastern New Hampshire Alchohol & Drug Abuse Services.

Franklin Savings Bank awarded $13,500 in scholarships to 12 high school seniors from six area high schools, including Franklin High School, Gilford High School, Laconia High School, Newfound Regional High School, Merrimack Valley High School and Winnisquam Regional High School.
