Concord Hospital Orthopaedics – Laconia, a Concord Hospital Medical Group specialty practice, has announce that Dr. Neil Herman and Dr. Serena Young recently joined the group. Dr. Herman has 30 years and Dr. Young has 20 years of experience as orthopaedic surgeons.

Empire Pools & Hot Tubs has won the Gold Award for Best Pools & Spas from Best of the 603 magazine. Each year, Best of the 603 selects a bronze, silver, and gold award for each category. Empire Pools & Hot Tubs has been on the list for the third year in a row, moving from bronze to gold in 2023.

FAST (Financial Abuse Specialty Team) of New Hampshire, is pleased to announce that it has formally incorporated and gained non-profit status. Created in 2013, FAST of NH is a statewide multi-disciplinary group which includes members of state and federal agencies, legal services providers, financial institutions, social service organizations, local law enforcement agencies and others dedicated to preventing financial exploitation in the Granite State. FAST of NH’s mission is to increase public awareness of elder financial exploitation with the goal of mitigating the risk of exploitation and protecting our state’s vulnerable populations.

Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) announces a new member to its Board of Directors. Lisabritt Solsky Stevens has made a career in the public interest. A lawyer by trade, she graduated from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, a public interest law school and HBCU recognized for the diversity of its student body.

The Capital Region Food Program (CRFP) distributed over two tons of nonperishable food items, valued at more than $8,300, to 16 area social service agencies, food pantries and churches as part of the program’s Year-Round Distribution Project (YRDP) on Tuesday, October 10th.

Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests’ 122nd Annual Meeting held in September, announces Jameson (Jamey) French, of Portsmouth, and Susan Arnold, of Strafford, were elected as new members to the Board of Trustees. Also at the Annual Meeting, Don Floyd, of Concord was elected for a second term; and Deb Buxton, of Greenfield, and Peter Fauver, of North Conway, for a third term. The members also elected the Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Allyson Hicks of Concord.

The New Hampshire Business Finance Authority (NHBFA) is pleased to announce the honorees of this year’s Granite State Awards, a testament to their outstanding contributions in assisting Granite State companies in accessing vital capital for business growth.
