A Belmont man was charged with driving while intoxicated after the Canterbury Police Department received a call of a vehicle operating with only three wheels.
Roy Hubble was taken into custody after police located a white box truck traveling on Baptist Hill Road in Canterbury around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. According to Canterbury police officer Tom Bibeau, Hubble lost a wheel after striking a granite post around 6 p.m. on McGuire Street in Concord, across from the state prison. Hubble then got on Interstate 93 heading north, took Exit 16 and then followed Route 132 into Canterbury. Police recieved calls from motorists who were following Hubble, Bibeau said.
Hubble was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bail. He is set to appear in Concord District Court on March 27.
