April is Financial Literacy for Youth Month. To mark the occasion, the N.H. Jump Start Coalition, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the personal financial education of students in New Hampshire, selects one school to visit with special presenters to promote their “I Can Save” program.

On April 3, second-grade students at Center Woods Elementary School in Weare learned about the three “S’s” of money – sharing, spending, and saving – with the Department of Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut, State Treasurer Bill Dwyer, N.H. Bank Commissioner Gerald Little, Joe Murray of Fidelity Investments and Tori Berube from Jump Start.
