What was the highlight of your season?

The highlight of my season was when we beat Bow because we had lost to them previously and it’s always a head to head game with them so it felt good to win that one at our home field.

Who was the unsung hero of your team?

Katie Meserve for scoring 15 goals. She was the 10th top scorer in the state.

If you could improve high school field hockey in New Hampshire, what would you do?

I would get rid of obstruction because it can limit a player’s ability to execute a play that would otherwise be very good.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they?

Our entire team is very superstitious and follows many traditions every single game including hair ribbons, a quote read before the game, and the same exact warm-up routine.

Who is the funniest person on your team? What makes them funny?

My coach, Coach Connolly, is the funniest person on the team because she says exactly what she is thinking, which can be hard for some of the athletes. But she is the reason that we all are so tough and persistent as a team and individuals.

What are some misconceptions about your sport?

Lots of people think it is a very easy sport, but it is the exact opposite. It takes lots of skill and commitment.

What movie can you watch over and over without getting tired of it?

“Dirty Dancing”

When you are old, what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about?

Hopefully they will ask me what it was like to win the field hockey state championship of 2018.

Where do you get your news?

I don’t really follow lots of the news in the newspaper or on TV but I do have a lot of social media, which keeps me updated.

What movie quotes do you use on a regular basis?

As a team tradition we watch a really funny yet awful movie called “Black Sheep” and we use lots of quotes from that movie throughout the season.

If you built a themed hotel, what would the theme be and what would the rooms look like?

A themed hotel where there is a friendly panda in each room because they are super cute.

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why?

France because I study the language and am interested in the culture there.

What’s the opposite of a koala?

Octopus because they are not friendly and I would not want to give an octopus a hug.

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do?

I would show them the very few restaurants we have in our town and I would have them go to our town rope swing in the summer.

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst?

The best thing is probably the freedom of being young and not having lots of responsibilities and the worst is all of the homework.
