What was the highlight of your season?

The highlight of my season included my performance against the Hanover team and playing in the playoffs one last time. I would do it all again if I could, I loved every second of being apart of my PAWS family; this was by far one of the best parts of high school.

Who was the unsung hero of your team?

I believe the unsung heroes of my team this year were kids who showed up to practices when they were having a bad day, or to a game they knew they wouldn’t start, or just being an all around good athlete, student, and doing their job like they knew they had to without constant praise.

If you could improve high school soccer in New Hampshire, what would you do?

I think soccer in New Hampshire is very competitive and highly supported in our state. I don’t think soccer itself needs to be changed in our state, but rather I hope it continues to thrive in years to come.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they?

My friends and I would kiss my lucky blue dice before the game. I won’t lie, we still lost games even if we kissed it, but it is something fun to believe in, even if we all know it isn’t working. We looked at it as just another thing we could all do together and laugh about.

Who is the funniest person on your team? What makes them funny?

I don’t think I would love soccer nearly as much as I do, if it weren’t for my girls Delanie St. Laurent, Hannah Serafin or Emily Lacasse. I can ensure that intense drills would be miserable if it weren’t for the jokes the girls were constantly cracking. With them everything was loud and crazy, which made soccer so much more worthwhile.

If someone was going to make a movie of your season, who would play your coach? Who would play you?

I think if someone were to play my coach in a movie it would have to be Melissa McCarthy, because she may at first seem tough, but the reality is my coach is really goofy and down to earth. I would want Jennifer Lawrence to play me, not because we look alike, but just because everything she does is so genuine and quirky.

What are some misconceptions about your sport?

I think a misconception about girl’s soccer is that boy’s soccer is more exciting to watch. I think I have heard girls complain about this since I got into high school. I know that all the girls on my soccer team are insanely impressive to watch and other teams we played have outstanding girls on their teams as well. I would say boys and girls soccer is played differently, but both are equally as exciting to support.

What movie can you watch over and over without getting tired of it?

A movie I could watch all day long would be Pretty Woman. I love looking at all the fancy shops she goes into and how much one thing changed her entire life. Also the end gets me every time, even though I could recite the movie word for word.

When you are old, what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about?

I hope if I have kids, I will be able to tell them stories of times like; jamming out on the soccer bus, dinners at Friendly’s with my team, annual photo shoots and many other amazing memories that went along with soccer.

Where do you get your news?

I really don’t like watching the news because everything is sad and scary. If I need to get information about something I have heard about I will look it up, hoping to only read that one story and avoid so many other depressing stories the news shows.

What movie quotes do you use on a regular basis?

After having pre-calc and now being in calculus, I can’t help but quote Lindsay Lohan from Mean Girls every time we talk about limits. I waited for so long to solve a problem where I could finally say, “The limit does not exist,” -Lindsay Lohan. It makes me laugh everytime.

If you built a themed hotel, what would the theme be and what would the rooms look like?

I think if I had built my own hotel it would have to look like Candyland or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I feel like everyone would love to eat their hotel room since people get so excited when room service leaves a little mint on the pillow. Can you imagine how thrilled people would be if they could eat their whole room?

What would be the best thing you could reasonably expect to find in a cave?

The best thing to find in a cave would be a massive diamond. Then you’re set for life and have a pretty ring for your finger now.

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why?

I am such a girl for picking this, but I would definitely want to end up in Paris, France. It seems like there is so much to see and a whole new of culture. Plus, I would love to shop there, like all girls dream about and to get an education there at the same time would be so magical.

What’s the opposite of a koala?

The opposite of a koala is a fish. I would say a fish, because a fish lives in water with fins and gills. In contrast a koala lives in the woodlands of Australia and they have fur and limbs. Even though you could say a fish is pretty much the opposite of any animal.

What questions would you like to ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future?

The most important question I would ask a time traveler from 200 years in the future would be if Wendy’s still does their Four for Four deal?

If you were hired to show tourists what life is really like where you live, what would you show them / have them do?

If I were to show someone around where I live, I would probably show them the restaurant the Windmill. I could eat their french toast every day of my life. That is my favorite Sunday morning thing to do. Then I would show them TJ Maxx because, like many other part time working teens, I blow as much possible money there, that my wallet can withstand. Then I would just have to show them my home where my friends and family always are.

What’s the most boring superhero you can come up with?

I have definitely never watched a superhero movie, so I can’t say who the most boring one would be. I was way too into Disney movies and the Harry Potter series. Those were always things I could watch with my family.

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst?

The best thing about being a teen is having so little responsibility, but loads of freedom to be with friends and do fun things before we all turn into adults. I feel like I always hear people older than me, saying, “You’ll never have more fun and freedom than you do right now.” The worst by far is trying to stop procrastinating about that paper that is due tomorrow and it’s already 1 in the morning and you haven’t even started it. Then feeling the regret in the morning when you have to get up at six and do it all over again.
