Who was the unsung hero of your team?

The unsung hero of our team was definitely Mackenzie Wetherill. Mackenzie is our goalkeeper and I really don’t think she got all of the recognition that she deserves. It takes more than scoring goals to win a game, and without her we wouldn’t have come close to making it as far as we did.

Do you have any sports superstitions? If so, what are they?

I actually wear these “no-blister” socks underneath my actual uniform socks, and I am truly convinced that I cannot play the same without them. I forgot them for one game this year and it was at Berlin, and it was the only game I didn’t score in so, yes, I am positive it was due to not wearing my socks.

Who is the funniest person on your team? What makes them funny?

The funniest person on our team is for sure Hannah Brigham. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone is happy and laughing and I think that is what makes her such an enjoyable person to be around. Even if people are having a bad day she knows how to crack a joke, which can really lighten the mood.

If someone was going to make a movie of your season, who would play your coach?

I think my whole team knows it would 100 percent be Buddy the Elf that plays Coach Andrew and I don’t want to embarrass him any more, so I’ll just leave it at that.

When you are old, what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about?

I really hope they ask me about my favorite memories of soccer because I love to talk and I think that conversation could go on for days.

Where do you get your news?

I mostly get my sports news from the Concord Monitor, but other world events I tend to have Fox News on a lot.

If you could go to school in a foreign country, which country would you pick and why?

I don’t want this to sound cliche, but I would totally pick Italy. I went there once before to play soccer and I absolutely loved it. Everyone is so friendly and it such a warm and welcoming environment, not to mention how beautiful everything is.

What’s the most boring superhero you can come up with?

The most boring superhero I can come up with would be Superman. A superhero to me has to be someone who can fail and then turn their failure into a super outcome. Reality isn’t about being the best at everything or winning everything, so therefore the most boring superhero would be one that I cannot relate to.

What’s the best thing about being a teen? What’s the worst?

The best thing about being a teen is knowing that you can do whatever you want with the rest of your life. These years are meant for fun and developing, but they’re also meant for figuring out what is going to make you happy for the rest of your life. The worst part about being a teen is the same thing because leaving the fun and developing behind is hard and growing up doesn’t come with any less challenges.
