Concord man dies in Canterbury crash

A Concord man has died following a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night on Interstate 93 south in Canterbury.

Eric Diamond, 42, died at Concord Hospital, where he was taken for medical treatment, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Police said preliminary investigation revealed that Diamond drove a 2010 Toyota Corolla off the left side of the interstate and into a wooded area, where the car struck a tree. The Toyota sustained heavy front-end damage in the crash, which was reported at about 11 p.m.

I-93 was shut down for more than two hours while police investigated the crash. The cause remains under investigation.
