Police: help needed finding CHaD thief

Concord police are looking for help identifying a man believed to have stolen a dinosaur-shaped donation box from Walmart.

The man is reported to have stolen the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s “Donation Dinosaur” when he entered the Walmart at 344 Loudon Road in Concord on Tuesday, Concord police said.

The damaged donation container was found later near the store, with a majority of the money inside was missing.

The suspect – described as a thin, white middle-aged male – is also believed to have stolen a crowbar from the store, presumably to pry the container open.

The suspect was reported to be wearing a long-sleeve flannel shirt, tan cargo shorts, and a hat, with a cast or a heavy bandage on his right hand.

Anyone with information is urged to call police at 226-3100.
