In a recent interview with the Monitor, Former U.S. Poet Laureate Donald Hall said he stopped writing poetry years ago, when he “lost the taste,” but he still writes prose. But Hall, 89, was happy to give a reading and answer questions for a packed house at the University of New Hampshire’s Dimond Library on Thursday night. A longtime fixture in New Hampshire literary circles, Hall took time to sign books and chat with the crowd after his first major reading in years.
