Granite Staters gathered for two very different rallies at the State House in Concord on
Saturday.

The morning rally supported actions to combat climate change and included speakers such as Democratic Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan, students from Kearsarge Changing Climate Change, Executive Councilor Andru Volinsky and more. The event was organized by the NH Sierra Club.

An hour later, another rally was held to bring attention to Jerry DeLemus’ incarceration for his involvement in the armed standoff with federal officials at the Cliven Bundy ranch in Nevada back in 2014. Speakers included Republican state Rep. John Burt and former state representative Susan DeLemus, Jerry’s wife.
