Highlights: The Tide scored two runs in the top of the first inning, three in the second and one in the fourth to take a 6-0 lead before the Crusaders got on the board in the bottom of the fourth. Concord added on three more in the fifth and closed out the victory in the sixth inning when Weaver’s RBI single plated the 11th run, putting the 10-run rule into effect.

Highlights: The Bears scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 5-3 lead and held on.

Belmont 5, Prospect Mountain 3

Key players: Belmont – Wyatt Divers (7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K); Hutch Haskins (1-for-3, 2 RBI), Anakin Underhill (1-for-2, walk, stolen base, run), Michael Collette (0-for-2, 2 sacrifices, 2 RBI)

Highlights: After two quick outs in the first, Prospect scored two runs and held Belmont at bay, but the Raiders scored two in both the second and third innings, and added one more in the fifth. The Timberwolves scored on in the sixth on two errors, a walk, a hit by pitch and a fielder’s choice, but went down in the seventh on four pitches.

Highlights: The Hawk defense was inconsistent and Conant took advantage of some misplays in the field, but Hopkinton’s bats came through in a slugfest. After starting the season 0-5, the Hawks are on a four-game winning streak.

Coach’s quote: “Our defense was inconsistent and we had difficulty ending the innings when we should have. Conant is tough 1-9 in the lineup and giving them extra outs hurt us. They took advantage of our misplays and made this game a lot closer than we would have liked. I give my kids credit as they did not get down after a few errors and kept swinging away at the plate to make up for the runs we gave them. We were lucky our bats were so alive early today as Conant was not giving in, despite getting behind after the first few innings. Highlights: Hopkinton hit the ground running, taking a 9-0 lead after the first qurter, and a 14-1 lead at half. The Hawks’ defense pressed out and challenged the ball, causing turnovers on almost every Stevens possession and clearing the ball to its offense nicely. Stevens came up with some big defensive stops, but dominant possessions and creative playmaking made the difference on offense for the Hawks.

Highlights: HDJS played its best game of the season, but the Spartans earned their first victory.

Highlights: The Cougars played well and stayed competitive throughout, but the Pythons led 9-5 at halftime and closed out the victory.

Highlights: The Cougars were without a couple players due to AP exams, but it didn’t stop Kearsarge from shutting out the Indians for the second time this season. The Cougars have two matches remaining this week before the playoffs begin.

Bow 5, Winnacunnet 4

Key players: Bow – Ben Rondeau, Aaron Barrieau, Patrik Jurcins, Trevor Abel, Milo Cocola, Jacob Gancarz

Highlights: The Falcons picked up a pair of big wins over the Sabers and the Warriors on their home court on Tuesday, completing a previously suspended match against Souhegan, and the regularly scheduled match against Winnacunnet.
