Wheels replaced sneakers on the basketball court Saturday for the 7th annual Hoops on Wheels event, hosted by Granite State Independent Living.

Local businesses and community members joined in the Rundlett Middle School gym to compete – whether they had a disability or not. Special guest Gov. Chris Sununu also gathered a team to play in the challenge this year.

A round-robin tournament kicked off the events, with a competitive bracket continuing into the afternoon.

The wheelchair basketball tournament serves to raise disability awareness. Each team raises more than $1,000 dollars through sponsors.
