McKinney leads Trenton to 5-4 win over Fisher Cats

TRENTON, N.J. – Billy McKinney doubled and singled twice as the Trenton Thunder topped the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 5-4, on Thursday.

Cale Coshow allowed two runs, but got New Hampshire’s Tim Lopes to ground out with runners on first and second to end the game for his fourth save of the season. Lopes tripled and singled in the loss.

Jonathan Davis hit a solo home run in the third inning to help the Fisher Cats cut an early deficit to 2-1.

New Hampshire (6-7) saw its comeback attempt come up short after Roemon Fields hit an RBI single in the ninth inning to help cut the Trenton lead to 5-4.

Francisco Rios (2-1) took the loss after allowing five runs and five hits over six innings.
