Old Home Day packs in the events on Saturday

Wednesday, July 05, 2017

The town of Newbury’s Old Home Day is adding to the activities with even more things to do in 2017.

On Saturday, there will be the usual things, too, like a craft fair, farmers market and the library book fair.

There will be food trucks around all day and Newbury residents can get free admission to the Fells Estate.

Hike to Eagle’s Nest at 9 a.m. Then, check out the Caboose Museum, World War II re-enactments, climbing wall, safety vehicle display, Model Ts and the puppy kissing booth.

There will be shows by the Dance Arts Academy (11:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.), Red Trousers (noon), stunt rider Chris Poulos (1 p.m.), Magician Andrew Pinard (2 p.m.), circus jugglers (1:30 p.m.), dog show (3 p.m.), Kilted Colin (4 p.m.), the Human Knot (6:30 p.m.) and Draw the Line (7:30 p.m.).

The day wraps up with fireworks at dusk.
