A different pathfor Eversource

I do not believe Northern Pass will be in the best interests of anyone but those who have invested. If they are interested in benefiting New Hampshire residents, consider this: New Hampshire currently has more than 1,000 dams holding water. If 25 percent of them are capable of generating sufficient power, retrofit or rebuild them and use the power here in New Hampshire. Then investigate the potential of each state slated to receive the power from the Northern Pass project. Doing so will keep U.S. money in the U.S. and will provide longer-term jobs than Northern Pass promises.

Eversource officials say it will cost too much money, but when I think of all the money spent just on lobbying and promotion for the Northern Pass, I find it difficult to believe that refocusing in the way I suggest will be all that cost-prohibitive.
