Concord police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men accused of carrying out an armed robbery at the Shell gas station on Loudon Road early Saturday morning.

A store clerk reported about 12:20 a.m. that two men had entered the gas station at 24 Loudon Road near Everett Arena wearing bandanas or shirts duct taped over part of their faces. One man approached the register and pointed a handgun at the clerk, while the second man stayed by the door as “an apparent lookout,” police said.

The armed man demanded the register drawer and then several packs of cigarettes. The clerk complied, and no one was injured in the incident.

Both men fled the store on foot and headed east on Loudon Road.

Police said the white men are in their mid-20s; stand approximately 5-foot, 10 inches tall; and are of heavy build.

The armed man wore blue pants, white sneakers and a dark-colored sweatshirt with white lettering. He carried a black backpack that he used to store the stolen cash and cigarettes.

“That suspect wore the hood of his sweatshirt up and had a bandana over his lower face which was held in place with what appeared to be silver duct tape that extended completely around his head,” police said.

The second suspect wore a dark-colored shirt with light pants, grey sneakers and a dark-colored baseball hat. He also had what appeared to be a T-shirt over the lower portion of his face, and that was held in place with silver duct tape that extended around his head.

Police ask anyone with information about the robbery to contact Lt. Sean Ford or Sgt. Robert Buelte at 225-8600 or the Concord Regional Crimeline at 226-3100.
