Suncook Valley Choral to perform two shows

Wednesday, May 17, 2017

The Suncook Valley Choral will hold its spring concerts With Strings Attached on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church.

The group, who’s motto is “sing for joy,” is comprised of some 60 local singers from 16 to more than 80 years old.

The Suncook Valley Chorale is directed by Scott Lounsbury. Calvin Herst will accompany on piano.

The show will have a diverse repertoire including folk songs, Beatles songs, patriotic ballads and some classical pieces.

“I am very proud of the fact that our Suncookies are as delighted to sing Ola Gjeilo, Ricky Ian Gordon and Randall Thompson as they are to sing Lennon and McCartney,” Lounsbury said in an email.

Tickets will be available at the door for $15 or $12 for students and seniors. For more information, find the Chorale on Facebook.
