Community comes together during holiday season

Tuesday, January 09, 2018

I would like to thank the many organizations and residents of Bow for making the Thanksgiving and Christmas season so much happier and brighter for many families and our citizens.

I could not do this without the help of so many caring people. The Boy Scouts, Bow Young At Heart Club, Bow Pioneer’s, Bow High, Memorial and Elementary schools, Ladies Fire Auxiliary, Celebrating Children Preschool, Crossroads Community Church, Bow Methodist Church, Bow PTO, Bow Fitness Program, Bow Garden Club, Bow Youth Center, Bow Men’s Club, Bow Rotary, Bow Recreation, Bow Police Department, Brite Magic Carpet Cleaning, Allied Insurance Group, Community Health Institute/JSIS Research & Training Institute, and The Happy Hooker’s for the beautiful hats, mittens and scarves. A very special thank you to Andy Young from Young Furniture, Mike Bourbeau & Doug Currie for delivering the Christmas food boxes, which were donated on behalf of the Capital Region Food Program. Bryan Westover for the collection of toys on behalf of the Toy’s for Tot’s Program. Brenda Pvirre and the staff at Merrimack County Savings Bank’s Bow branch for coordination of the annual Giving Tree.

Thank you, to all who helped so many residents and their families enjoy a brighter holiday season. It’s a blessing to know that there are so many wonderful and caring people in our community. I wish you the best in 2018.

human services director
