University of New Hampshire forward and Hobey Baker finalist Tyler Kelleher has agreed to an AHL contract with the Milwaukee Admirals, the team announced Friday.

The deal runs through the 2017-18 season. Kelleher, of Longmeadow, Mass.,  will look to make his AHL debut Friday night against the Iowa Wild.

Kelleher scored in the third period of the Wildcats’ game-three loss to UMass-Lowell on Sunday, finishing his UNH career with 167 points. He led the nation his senior season with 39 assists and added 24 goals. Kelleher is the first UNH skater to have 60-plus points in a season since Darren Haydar (72) and Colin Hemingway (66) in 2001-02.

Kelleher was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star on Thursday. He led the conference in scoring with 14 goals and 23 assists for 37 points over 22 league games.

Kelleher will look for his first on-ice action as Milwaukee plays three games in three days. A home-and-home series with Iowa begins Friday night. The Admirals host Grand Rapids on Sunday.
