Two men were arrested in connection to an explosion at a home last May in Wilmot.

Shane Fortier, 29, and 25-year-old Adam Dalton were charged Saturday with conspiracy to commit burglary, a Class B felony, according to a press release from State Fire Marshal William Degnan, Wilmot Fire Chief Sean Brunel and Wilmot Police Chief David Zuger.

According to the release, police were called to 543 NH Route 4A in Wilmot on the morning of May 1 and found the home totally engulfed in flames. A man who had suffered severe burns to his face, hands and knees was standing outside the home when police arrived. His role in the incident was not made clear.

Dalton was released on $10,000 cash bail and will be arraigned on Dec. 28 in Merrimack Superior Court.

Fortier refused bail and is being held at the Merrimack County Jail in Boscawen pending his arraignment in Merrimack Superior Court on Monday.
