Dana Allen Wright, 54, of Portsmouth Street in Concord, died Monday, July 17, 2006, at Concord Hospital under hospice care after a battle with cancer.

He was born Dec. 3, 1951, in Concord and was the son of Loretta Labrie Hunneyman of Bow and the late Allen Wright.

He leaves his beloved wife of 27 years, Sally (Merrill) Wright; his daughter, Stacey L. Wright; and his son, John A. Wright, all of Concord. He also leaves his stepfather, Larry Hunneyman; his sister, Donna Martin; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins; and his faithful dog, Jack.

Dana was the general manager of E.W. Sleeper Company and leaves many loyal customers and friends.

Loving the outdoors, Dana spent many enjoyable hours fishing and hunting in the northern woods of New Hampshire. He was a member of numerous bass fishing clubs that fished throughout New Hampshire. One of his particular joys was participating in an annual event at Camp Carefree, a summer camp for children with juvenile diabetes, teaching them how to fish and sharing his love for the outdoors.

Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp Carefree, Lions Camp Pride, Re: Dana Wright, 250 Camp Prideway, New Durham 03855.

Bennett Funeral Home in Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
