Tomorrow , supporters of presidential candidate Ron Paul have organized a food drive to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank in conjunction with the Ron Paul Family Walk.
Paul and 30 members of his family will be holding a rally at Veterans Park in Manchester followed by canvassing. The Paul campaign hopes to knock on 50,000 doors by the end of the weekend.
Ron Paul HQ, the grassroots organization, will have a truck at the rally to collect food. The truck can hold up to 20,000 pounds of food, so organizers are encouraging supporters to not be shy about the size of their donations. They will also be accepting cash donations.
Ron Paul HQ was inspired by efforts of other supporters across the country making similar community efforts. From spamming food banks with food to cleaning up trash on playgrounds, Ron Paul supporters hope to show others that private charities are superior to government welfare programs. Not only do they foster community bonds and often run more efficiently, but they also do so without forced participation through taxation.
The rally will start at 9:30 a.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in the community as well as hear Dr. Paul spread the message of freedom.
