A New Hampshire man has been seriously injured in a head-on collision with a driver traveling the wrong way on Interstate 293.

The state police said Edward Bailey, 63, was headed south on the interstate just after midnight when a pickup truck driven by Jason Lambert, 35, of Goffstown, struck him head-on.

The police said Lambert was driving the wrong way and was arrested after the accident on charges he was driving drunk. Bailey was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
