We need a real change in Washington!

In the last five presidential elections just two families have occupied the White House. We have changed political parties, but the politics remains the same. Lobbyists get behind a candidate and jam that person down our throats. Then, when that candidate gets elected, that person is controlled by the lobbyists to whom they are indebted.

This time, their candidate is Hillary Clinton. Hillary takes money from these special interest groups: the insurance companies, the oil companies and the pharmaceutical companies. These groups are financing her campaign and thus will be a major influence on legislation if she gets elected. Our policies on health care, energy and government reform will all remain pretty much the same as they have been through the Bush and Clinton administrations if Hillary becomes president.

We have a real choice. We have a candidate who has refused money from lobbyists and says no to special interest groups. He says yes to the American people. He has sponsored bipartisan legislation aimed at real ethics reform to put honesty back in our government. His campaign is financed largely by small donations from the people of America. He does not accept money from lobbyists.

It is a time for someone who will stand up and be accountable to the American people. Say yes to Barack Obama. Say no to Hillary Clinton. A vote for Obama is a vote for openness in government. It is time for a new voice and a new point of view.
