New Hampshire's Senate is scheduled to vote next week on a bill that would set up a study committee to review the Fish and Game Department's proposal to build a boat ramp on Lake Sunapee in Newbury.

The vote is scheduled for Wednesday.

The plan to build the launch at the Wild Goose site in Newbury has been vehemently opposed by local officials and the Lake Sunapee Protective Association. They say it's unsafe.

The association and town had appealed a shore-land development permit issued to Fish and Game, which owns the property.
