GILMANTON - Ryan Jacob Oickle, 4, of Winter Street, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at home, following a long battle with cancer.

Ryan was born Nov. 26, 2004, in Concord, the son of George A. and Desma R. (Cook) Oickle. He attended the New Covenant Christian Church in Laconia.

Ryan enjoyed mowing the lawn and riding snowmobiles, ATVs and tractors.

Ryan is survived by his parents; a brother, Colby Tyler Oickle of Gilmanton; his paternal grandmother, Donna E. Oickle, his paternal aunt, Elieen Oickle, and a paternal cousin, Miranda Sloan, all of Tucson, Ariz.; his maternal grandparents, Debra Cook and Daniel Cook, both of Norwich, Vt.; his maternal great-grandfather, Sidney L. Cook of Norwich; two maternal aunts, Moriah Cook of North Haverhill and Katie Cook of Enfield; his maternal uncle, Bill Chatlos of North Haverhill; his maternal cousins, Selena Chatlos and Sydney Chatlos, both of North Haverhill, and Jordan Monett of Enfield; his cousin and best friend, Jessica Yianakopolos; his special friends, Beth Cote and her family; as well as a large extended family in Vermont, New Hampshire, Georgia, Alabama and Arizona.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, George A. Oickle Jr., in 2005 and by an aunt in 1974.

Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 6 to 8 p.m. at the carriage house of Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the New Covenant Church, 31 Lindsay Court, Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Childhood Cancer Lifeline of New Hampshire, P.O. Box 395, Hillsboro 03244.
