DR. OLIVIA POWERS of Hillsboro is opening the New London Chiropractic Center this month at 71 Pleasant St. Her practice will incorporate comprehensive and holistic chiropractic care and will offer hours by appointment.

ALAN CHOINIERE of Stratham has joined Baron Machine in Laconia as a quality assurance manager. Choiniere has extensive experience in automotive, defense and medical industries having worked at Ford, GE and Textron. Choiniere will also be working to maintain the company's newly acquired AS9100 certification.

PAM McDONALD of Hopkinton has graduated from the 2009 Leadership New Hampshire program. She is the executive director of the Council on Fundraising, a nonprofit educational organization. Three new members joined the council's board of directors: KELIANE TOTTEN of Barrington, TARA MAHADY of Bow and PETER LABOMBARDE of Bedford. Totten is marketing director at Granite Ledges of Concord. Mahady has more than 20 years experience with development, communications and marketing with nonprofit organizations. Labombarde has 25 years of trust and wealth management experience, most recently at Citizens Bank New Hampshire. MICHAEL SALTER of Amherst was named the recipient of the council's 10th annual Make a Difference Donor award, which is given to a volunteer of one of the council's member organizations. Salter was nominated by Easter Seals of New Hampshire in recognition of establishing a program called Easter Seals Veterans Court.

SOPHIE SPARROW of Sunapee, a law professor at Franklin Piece Law Center in Concord, has had a book, Teaching Law by Design: Engaging Students from the Syllabus to the Final Exam, published by Carolina Academic Press. She shares authorship with Michael Hunter Schwartz and Gerry Hess, co-directors of the Institute for Law Teaching and Learning. Sparrow has taught at Pierce Law for 18 years.

KIRK LEONI of Weare, managing director of Nathan Wechsler and Co., has graduated from the 2009 Leadership New Hampshire program. Leoni, also, has been elected treasurer of Concord Community Music School Board of Trustees.

KEN SHEPPARD of Merrimack, a vice president at Foxfire Property Management in Concord, was appointed to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Community Associations Institute New Hampshire. Sheppard has worked in property management for the past 22 years.

CHRIS BITTLE of Gilmanton has joined Foxfire Property Management of Concord as director of operations at Facilitech, the commercial cleaning and facility services division.

JASON MARING of Thornton has joined ABODE of Plymouth as director of sales and marketing. Maring's career began in the Vermont ski industry and he has spent the past five years focusing on marketing resort and second home real estate developments.

CAMI BAKER of Manchester, a Realtor with Keller Williams, will be featured on HGTV's House Hunters tonight at 9 p.m. The episode was shot in Concord in June 2008. Lisa, Shane and Jaydan Doucette are her costars.

ROBERT SARGEANT of Holderness has been promoted to senior vice president of commercial lending at Meredith Village Savings Bank. Sargeant will continue to manage the bank's commercial lending team and oversee facility planning. Sargeant joined the bank after a 25-year career at the Pemigewasset National Bank.

PETER MOSSEAU of Contoocook and WILLIAM SATURLEY of Concord, attorneys at Nelson, Kinder, Mosseau and Saturley, have been recognized for the second year in a row by Chambers USA 2009. Mosseau and Saturley were selected for their accomplishments in general commercial litigation.

PHILIP TUCKER has been elected to the board of directors at Associated Grocers of New England, headquartered in Pembroke. Tucker has owned the Aldrich General Store in North Haverhill for more than 30 years. He was voted New Hampshire Grocers Association's Grocer of the Year in 2005.

The following people have been selected to be in the Leadership Greater Concord Class of 2010: CHRISTOPHER ANDREWS, ANGELYN BORDEN, JAIME CORWIN, ADRA DARLING, PETER ELLINWOOD, JESSICA ESHLEMAN, RACHEL GOLDWASSER, SUSAN HACKLER, MELANIE HUNTINGTON, ANGELA KING, REBECCA KINHAN, JASON LACOMBE, ANNE MILLS, KIMBERLY PERRON, LORI PREVE, TONYA ROCHETTE, MARY STUART and LT. LENNY O'KEEFE.

KERRY and KELTON BARNSLEY of Penacook won awards at a recent Karner Blue Toastmaster meeting. Kelton won the Best Speaker award and Kerry won awards for Best Evaluator and Best Table Topics Speech.

DENIS BEAUDOIN SR. of Pittsfield has resigned from the state Advisory Council on Worker's Compensation.
