Three more people filed for city council seats yesterday - two current councilors and a newcomer.
In Ward 3, Juston Kay will challenge Councilor Jan McClure, who is running for re-election.
He joins Amanda Grady in Ward 4 and Jim Baer for an at-large seat as one of three new candidates for the council.
Also yesterday, Ward 2 Councilor William Stetson and Ward 9 Councilor Candace Bouchard signed up to run for re-election.
The other candidates planning re-election bids are Liz Blanchard in Ward 1, Robert Werner in Ward 5, Allen Bennett in Ward 6, Keith Nyhan in Ward 7, Dick Patten in Ward 8, Fred Keach in Ward 10 and Dan St. Hilaire for an at-large seat. Douglas Black and Dick Lemieux are not seeking re-election.
No one has signed up to challenge Mayor Jim Bouley.
For the school board, no new candidates emerged yesterday. Board President Kass Ardinger and member Chris Casko have filed to run for three-year terms.
The filing period for both council and school board candidates runs through Monday.
Elections are Nov. 3.
