No one signed up Friday seeking a seat on the city council, but the school board finally has enough candidates to fill four open positions.
Current school board member Clint Cogswell will run for a three-year term, while Tom Croteau will seek a one-year term. Croteau has taught in the district before and more recently worked as a principal in the Winnisquam Regional School District, said the school board's clerk, Roger Phillips.
The board's president, Kass Ardinger, and member Chris Casko are the other two candidates, each running for three-year terms.
The city council candidates so far are Liz Blanchard in Ward 1, William Stetson in Ward 2, Juston Kay and Jan McClure in Ward 3, Amanda Grady in Ward 4, Robert Werner in Ward 5, Allen Bennett in Ward 6, Keith Nyhan in Ward 7, Dick Patten in Ward 8, Candace Bouchard in Ward 9 and Fred Keach in Ward 10.
Jim Baer and Dan St. Hilaire are running for at-large seats.
Of that group, Baer, Grady and Kay would be new to the council.
Mayor Jim Bouley remains unopposed in his re-election bid.
Tomorrow is the last day to declare candidacy before the elections, which will be held Nov. 3.
