Mayor Jim Bouley has won another term - by default.

No one signed up to challenge the mayor yesterday, the last day to declare candidacy before the city's Nov. 3 elections.

Three new candidates for city council got their names in the running yesterday, however. Steven Sawyer will challenge Councilor Keith Nyhan in Ward 7, while Michael Dello Iacono and Rick Cibotti will run for at-large seats.

Jim Baer, Amanda Grady and Juston Kay are the other new candidates for council seats.

By ward, the candidates for councilor are: Liz Blanchard in Ward 1, William Stetson in Ward 2, Kay and Jan McClure in Ward 3, Grady in Ward 4, Robert Werner in Ward 5, Allen Bennett in Ward 6, Nyhan and Sawyer in Ward 7, Dick Patten in Ward 8, Candace Bouchard in Ward 9, Fred Keach in Ward 10, and Baer, Cibotti, Dello Iacono and Dan St. Hilaire for at-large seats.

Councilors Douglas Black and Dick Lemieux are not seeking re-election.
