September 15, 2009 - 12:00 am

Competition arrived at the last minute in the Concord School Board elections.

Filing on the last day were former school board member Bill Glahn for the one-year term and engineer Doug Magee for a three-year term.

The additions mean four candidates are running for the three three-year spots, and two candidates are running for the one-year position to be vacated by board Vice President Megan DeVorsey.

Magee will face three incumbents, President Kass Ardinger and members Clint Cogswell and Chris Casko. Ardinger and Casko are finishing their first three-year terms, while Cogswell is completing a one-year term.

Elections will be Nov. 3.
