Theft

With help from Concord Regional Crimeline tips, the police arrested Amanda Smith, 19, who is homeless, Sunday and charged her with a theft from Hannaford. The police have identified the person they say was with Smith but are still looking for her, they said.

Smith was charged on a warrant with willful concealment and unlawful possession of alcohol. The police allege she stole about $130 of hair color, razor blades and teeth whitening strips from Hannaford on Sept. 9 about 8:10 p.m.

An officer brought the unlawful possession charge because Smith had been drinking when they arrested her Oct. 18, the police report said.

The police issued a request for help identifying the people suspected in the theft last month, along with a photo of two women seen in the store. Those photos can be seen at onconcord.com/police, under the "press release" tab.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the woman with Smith can tell the police anonymously by calling the crime line at 226-3100 or by visiting concordregionalcrimeline.com

Crystal Martell, 19, of First New Hampshire Turnpike, Northwood, was arrested Saturday and charged with shoplifting. While she was working at Victoria's Secret at the Steeplegate Mall, she walked barefoot to the Sears store, put on a $70 pair of boots and left Sears without paying, according to a police report.

Martell told the police her back was bothering her during her work shift and she took the boots to "borrow them" for the rest of her shift, the report said.

Tyler Hall, 21, of Curtice Avenue, was arrested Oct. 16 and charged with theft by unauthorized taking and default of bail conditions.

He took a $400 flat screen television from Sears at the Steeplegate Mall, according to a police report.

Thomas Heckel, 45, who is homeless, was arrested Oct. 13 and charged with shoplifting.

He took a 24-ounce can of beer, a tuna sandwich and that day's edition of the Concord Monitor from Shaw's on the Heights, according to the police. The total value of the items was about $10, the report said.

Cathy Zumbrunnen, 59, of Court Street, Laconia, was arrested Oct. 13 and charged with theft by unauthorized taking. She took about $50 worth of cleaning supplies from Walmart, the police report said.

Marc Salas, 17, of Sandy Point Road, Center Barnstead, was arrested Oct. 11 and charged with shoplifting.

He took an X-Box video game, gum and a windshield wiper blade, all worth about $28, from Walmart, the police report said. Salas told the police he'd initially gone to the store because he needed the wiper blade, the report said.
