Laurie Goldthwaite Chown, 49, of Concord died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
Born Sept. 22, 1960, she was the daughter of Warren W. and Susan (Taylor) Goldthwaite.
She loved interior decorating, the beach and family gatherings. She endured many challenges, but always remained strong. In the final years of her life, she found a measure of peace in the quiet cottage and the natural beauty of Lyme.
She was predeceased by her father, Warren Goldthwaite; her daughter, Carley Chown; a nephew, Taylor Goldthwaite; and her grandparents, John Taylor, Lois Taylor Barry and Dorothea and William E. Goldthwaite.
Survivors include her loving companion, Timothy Pushee; her mother, Susan (Taylor) Goldthwaite; her sons, Joshua McGahan of Concord and Connor Chown and Colby Chown, both of Pembroke; her stepdaughter, Alana Chown Dust of Milwaukee, Wis.; her brother, W. Taylor Goldthwaite of Concord; her sister, Karen Goldthwaite Stavros of Concord; nieces, Skylar Stavros and Katelyn Stavros; nephew, Mason Goldthwaite; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends she loved so much.
Calling hours will be held Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at Wesley Methodist Church, 79 Clinton St., Concord.
A celebration of her life will follow at 2 p.m.
