WEBSTER - Patricia "Pat" Inman, 81, of Pearson Hill Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at home surrounded by family.

Pat was born in Concord on Feb. 4, 1928, the daughter of William E. and Catherine (Mock) Phelps.

She lived in Webster all of her life, graduating from Simonds Free High School in Warner and attending the University of New Hampshire.

Pat was first employed at the New Hampshire Fish and Game office in Concord before working for many years at two apple orchards in Webster, Shugrue's and Frost's, where she picked and packed apples and pruned trees.

Pat had been very active in the town of Webster, serving as a former 4-H leader, a supervisor of the checklist for 50 years, a cemetery commissioner for 42 years, and as a member of the zoning board for nine years.

For the past 47 summers Pat enjoyed spending weekends with her family at their camp on Rattlesnake Island, Lake Winnipesaukee. Pat always had a very large garden, growing vegetables for her family and friends. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her late husband, Randolph E. Inman, who died in 1999. Together they traveled through 49 states and all of the Canadian provinces.

Members of her surviving family include three children, William E. Inman and wife, Beth, of Webster, Karen A. Gosselin and husband, John, of Sunapee, and Richard E. Inman and wife, Jill, of Zigzag, Ore.; four grandchildren, Catherine Masterson and husband, Kyle, of Canterbury, Lindsey Foley and husband, Chris, of Penacook, Katelyn Gosselin of Charlestown, Mass., and Andrea Gosselin, also of Charlestown, Mass.; a great-grandson, Carter Masterson; five sisters, Pauline Scruton of Farmington, Priscilla Stoddard of Woodsville, Henrietta Kenney of Boscawen, Gloria Fenton of Warner, and Gerry Phelps of Webster; a brother, Edward Phelps of Boothbay Harbor, Maine, and Seabrook Island, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.

A public graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Corser Hill Cemetery, Webster, followed by a reception at the Webster Town Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Payson Cancer Center care of Concord Hospital Office of Philanthropy, 250 Pleasant St., Concord 03301; or to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, At Home Hospice Division, P.O. box 1797, Concord 03301.
