IVAN MISNER, founder of Business Network International, the world's largest networking organization with chapters in 40 countries, was the keynote speaker at the NH BNI Conference, which was attended by guests from all over the Northeast.

KAREN WHITE of Weare has been designated as a fellow of the Project Management Institute for her service and contributions for more than a decade in the project management community.

ROBERT BENOIT was elected as a new director and KENNETH ROBINSON JR. was elected as a new corporator at Laconia Savings Bank. Benoit is an auditor/manager for Shatswell, Macleod and Co. Robinson serves as general counsel for Northeast Delta Dental.

JACQUELINE MATTHEWS of Belmont joined the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority as program reporting specialist. She is responsible for the information capture and outcomes measurement reporting of all funding programs. For the last six years, she worked at the New Hampshire Community Loan Fund, most recently as investor relations coordinator.

EPHREM BOLDUC JR. of Allenstown, MIKE CARTER of Bradford, JOHN FIFE JR. of Salisbury, KEVIN MURDOUGH of Hillsboro, ED SMITH of Plymouth, RAY THIBODEAU of Wolfeboro and NATHAN WALKER of New London were honored at the 17th annual Loggers and Truckers convention for outstanding achievements in the forest community and received certification in the New Hampshire Professional Loggers Program.

LISA SHAPIRO of Canterbury has been reappointed chair of the New Hampshire Retirement System Board of Trustees. Shapiro is chief economist for Gallagher, Callahan and Gartrell in Concord.

The Home Builders and Remodelers Association of New Hampshire has recognized four people in the housing industry by inducting them into the Housing Hall of Fame: DAN BERGERON of Nashua, ROGER BOUCHARD of Manchester, DICK BENSON of Concord and ELLIOT BERRY, a lawyer with New Hampshire Legal Assisstance. Each year the association considers nominees who have devoted their careers to advancing the issue of housing for New Hampshire residents. The Home association also recognized four state legislators for their advocacy on behalf of the home building and remodeling industry: SEN. BETSI DEVRIES of Manchester, SEN. PETER BRAGDON of Milford, REP. MARY COONEY of Plymouth and REP. ED BUTLER of Harts Location. The association also inducted 2010 officers and board of directors. Senior officers include MERRITT PEASLEY, president; ROGER DEMANCHE, vice president; BRUCE SULLIVAN, vice president/treasurer; and TRICIA NEWHALL-GRAHAME, vice president/secretary.

LORRIE CAREY, selectwoman in Boscawen, has been named 2009-10 Woman of the Year by the Business and Professional Women New Hampshire.

TIM PLATT of Henniker, an attorney with Preti Flaherty of Concord, has been listed in New England Super Lawyers for his work in mergers and acquisitions. KARA SWEENEY of Bow has been listed among the New England Rising Stars for her work in business/corporate law.

DAVID LAW of Concord and MICHELLE ARRUDA of Contoocook, directors and shareholders at Cleveland, Waters and Bass in Concord, have been selected for inclusion in New England Super Lawyers for a third consecutive year. Law was chosen for his work in tax law, employee benefits and nonprofit. Arruda was chosen for her work in estate planning and probate. ELIZABETH MCCORMACK, an associate at the firm, has been selected for inclusion on the New England Rising Stars list.
