Tayvin James Shufelt looks a lot like Macaulay Culkin.

At 4 years old, Tayvin James Shufelt is a spitting image of Macaulay Culkin, the child movie star best known for getting left behind when his parents go off on a trip in the 1990 movie Home Alone. Tayvin James, who lives in Franklin with his mother, Miami, father, Craig, and older sister, Aria, won an online celebrity look-alike contest at popeater.com. His face will be featured on the cover of an online magazine hosted by the site.

We asked Miami Shufelt about her son's uncanny resemblance to the former child actor.

Why did you enter? When I go out with my son, a lot of people say, "Oh my gosh, he looks like that kid from Home Alone." Within 24 to 48 hours, he was in first place (in the contest). There were over 300 entries.

As his mom, do you think he really looks like Culkin? It's hard to see him that way as my son, because I see him differently. But people still say it.

Do you ever watch Home Alone together? It's fun to watch the movie because he thinks that's him. He says, "That's me, that's me."

Culkin has run into some legal trouble since his acting days. What do you think about that? He's really creepy. I hope my son does not turn out to be like that.

Have you ever left him home alone? Clever! Not that I would admit!
