TILTON NORTHFIELD FIRE AND EMS, through collaboration with local businesses including 3M, WALMART, TANGER OUTLET CENTER and TILTON-NORTHFIELD FIREFIGHTERS' ASSOCIATION, has expanded its fire safety training in the community. The fire department worked with businesses to expand its fire extinguisher safety program with the purchase of the Bullex Fire Extinguisher System. Donations helped pay for the equipment last year and additional grants from 3M this year funded additional equipment, including a digital camera for fire investigations and other department activities.

STOP & SHOP has donated 1,000 turkeys to the NEW HAMPSHIRE FOOD BANK as part of its Turkey Express program that will deliver nearly 19,000 turkeys to hunger relief organizations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey this holiday season.

THE CAPTIAL REGION FOOD PROGRAM will be distributing donation canisters to local businesses and banks throughout the Greater Capital Region. The canisters are part of the fundraising efforts for the Holiday Food Basket and Year-Round Distribution Projects.

BOLOCO BURRITO in Concord will donate 10 percent of its sales Wednesday from 4 to 10 p.m. to the CAPITAL REGION FOOD PROGRAM.

MEREDITH VILLAGE SAVINGS BANK will be collecting food at several of its offices for local food pantries. Food and nonperishable items may be dropped off at the Alton, Ashland, Gilford, Laconia, Meredith, Meredith, Plymouth and Wolfeboro offices.

FIRST COLEBROOK BANK is celebrating 120 years of service to New Hampshire with a food drive at its four locations - Colebrook, Concord, Amherst and Portsmouth. Bank employees will bring in food donations and invite customers to do the same.

RPF ASSOCIATES of Northwood, an environmental testing and consulting firm, has been contracted to perform hygiene testing and consulting for decommissioning of University of New Hampshire's Parsons Hall, the chemistry teaching and research center. The multimillion dollar renovation project will be completed over the next few years.

AFFIRMWATER, a company in Loudon, donated $720 worth of its stainless steel water bottles to the Bow Rotary Auction Gala this weekend.

THE WOMEN'S BUSINESS CENTER of Portsmouth is looking to reconnect with alumni for a 15th anniversary celebration next year. Former members and others who have benefited from the center's services are asked to call 430-2892, ext. 4.
