Youth hockey

The Concord Orthopaedics Squirt III Capitals shut down Hanover. Colin Kastle scored a hat trick, while Michael Komisarek, Mary Anne Wiley, Griffin Gilbert, Max Lamora, and Cody Nolin added single tallies. Jason Howe and Chris Wells shared the shutout. Concord fell to the Oyster River Squirt I team, 3-0.

• The Maggiotto & Belobrow Squirt 1 team lost its season-opener, 3-2, to Nashua. Kadin Mason and Kambal Vaidya scored goals. Jack LaBounty and Chase Buckman played tough in front of Liam O'Neil in goal.

• The Smith Steel Concord Capitals Peewee 1 team lost to Lexington Bedford, 2-0. Ben Nelson played well in net for Concord. Concord lost to Lynn, 6-3, with Andrew Chorlian, Alex Orcutt and Brad Saklad picking up goals, while Taylor Methven and Jaret Foote played well defensively. In the final game, Concord Beat Waltham, 2-1, behind goals from Rich Rosato and Derek Tillotson. Dan Smith anchored the defense.

• The Junior Monarchs Pee Wee AA team earned two hard-fought victories over the weekend. The M's beat Laconia, 2-1, on goals from Jamie Ess and Jack Canary. The team also knocked off Kimball Union Academy, 2-0. Ess (assisted by Tanner Beck) and Logan Pacheco (assisted by Canary and Kevin Bolduc) scored in the shutout.

Tilton School results

The Tilton School field hockey team fell to the New Hampton School, 2-1. Kiah Murphy (assisted by Gilford's Mackenzie Hurst) scored the Rams' lone goal. Tilton goalie Bryanna Bourbeau had a great game, while Bri Attalla, Hana Murphy, Morgan Foley and Jenna Mead also played well.

PSU results

The Plymouth State University field hockey team fell to the University of New England in the ECAC Championship game, 3-2. Kerry D'Ambroise scored both of the Panthers' goals on assists from Lauren Bergeron and Morgan Lemmon. Hannah Sawyer posted three saves in the loss.

Hopkinton HS

Hopkinton Fall Sports Awards Night will be tonight at 6 p.m. in the high school gym. All athletes, parents/guardians and fans are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served courtesy of the Booster Club.

Rundlett MS Nordic

Rundlett Middle School Nordic Club's parent information night will be held tomorrow at 6 p.m. in the Rundlett Middle School Media Center.

Archery

Archery programs for adults 16 years and older will begin on Tuesdays, starting Dec. 1 at Rundlett Middle School for six weeks from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Equipment will be provided. Contact Adult Community Education at 225-0804 or NE School of Archery at NESAINC@aol.com or 224-5768.
