A special legislative committee may ask New Hampshire lawmakers to suspend state school construction aid while changes to the aid program are considered.

State Rep. David Campbell, a committee member, said yesterday a proposal to suspend the program through 2011 will be voted on at the panel's Dec. 1 meeting. The Nashua Democrat says the suspension would only apply to new school construction that hasn't been approved. Emergency projects would be allowed to go forward.
