The Portsmouth police say a 12-round clip of handgun ammunition is still missing after it was lost by an officer during an Oct. 28 search for armed robbery suspects.

Police Chief Lou Ferland says officers spent 17 days looking for the ammunition that apparently fell out of an officer's belt clip while he searched a swamp near a city neighborhood.
