Glenn A. Walter, 75, of Verbena Way, Concord, died peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at home.

He was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Mineola Park, N.Y., the son of the late Francis and Thelma (McDevitt) Walter and had lived in Concord for 27 years, moving from Laconia.

Glenn was an adjudicator for the New Hampshire Department of Employment Security for several years until his retirement. He was a graduate of New London High School and attended Plymouth State Teachers College

Glenn proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army in the 1950s. He was a member of Horace Chase Lodge of Masons in Penacook and United Congregational Church in Concord.

He leaves his wife of 33 years, Patricia L. (Lord) Walter; five children, Robert A. Walter of Titusville, Fla., Karen E. Whitten of Cape Canaveral, Fla., Barbara J. Carter and her husband, Michael, of Titusville, Fla., Gary F. Walter of Bradford, Vt., and Glenn A. Walter Jr. of Avondale, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will not be held.

Private funeral services will be held at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon, Mass.

Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon, Mass.

Memorial donations may be made to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, 250 Pleasant St., Concord 03301.
